THIRTY: coinciding with Art Month 2012 and the launch of the newly formed Rozelle Contemporary Art Precinct, dLux MediaArts will temporarily repatriate an empty shop on 703 Darling Street, Rozelle installing artist films and games using projections, intimate screenings and an interactive multi media space to tell our stories.

We will showcasing highlights of the dLux archive as well as some recent innovations by digital media artists we work with in an electronic extravaganza decked out with comfy retro furniture and with knowledgable staff on hand, this is an exhibition experience like no other.

Future Wall

So many of us wonder what the future will be like and what we want for our own future. Future Wall makes its debut appearance at the dLux MediaArts pop up and gives everyone the opportunity to draw, dress up and take a picture of the "future". Use the stations available or your own mobile device to create your very own image brick that will form a wall of possibilities and ideas!

Join Warren, the brains behind Unseen Sculptures and visit to the Augmented Reality Sculpture Trail on Darling St in Rozelle as part of Art Month 2012. Discover some extraordinary artworks by local and international artists using your smart phone or camera enabled tablet as the viewer.

Departing from the dLux Media Lounge at 703 Darling Street Rozelle at 1 pm finishing at 2 pm in Callan Park. This is an easy flat walk which is a unique opportunity to experience something special. Toydeath!

Cult circuit bending band Toydeath re-appropriate children’s electronic toys and wear human-sized cartoonish costumes to create a unique stage show. Toydeath produce live music from their tortured treasure-trove of modified toys including guitars, talking dolls and alphabet apples resulting in a surreal deluge of colour and craziness. Toydeath is part  performance, part music and features hilarious toyworld pranksters: Big Judy, GiJoe and Supa Dad the seasoned artists who are naturally big in Japan and have delighted audiences at Big Day Out.

Spinning a Yarn


An intimate performance and installation event, featuring an entire knitted marine landscape installed onsite. Here, the Plastic Bag Ladies of the Sea Mrs Polly Mer and Mrs Polly Ester knit a plastic wormhole to another dimension as they recall the marine adventures of Monkey and Turtle.
