d/Lux/MediaArts and Campbelltown Arts Centre invited individuals or small groups of artists, filmmakers, musicians and creatives with an interest in community and network practices to participate in a free individual half day session with leading international media artists Proboscis (UK) or Container (Jamaica).
Coding Cultures included a concept lab for community project participants interested in using new techniques and tools to extend their creative projects. They explored, for instance, how to use digital media in storytelling, access more resources such as free and open source softwares, use networks and online tools to communicate and promote your project, develop network related projects exploring social contexts.
The concept labs are now over, however the free Handbook for Coding Cultures is available for download on this site (Click on 'Handbook').
