Friday 14th June, 2pm
Why are Australian media artists winning inter/national awards ?
Engage conceptually and technically with the creators of two inter/nationally
award winning cd-roms, Uncle Bill
and SHOCKED.
This is an opportunity to understand what drives the artists, how they produce
there work and what
opportunities exist for the wider distribution of their creation. Also, they
claim to be the worlds most prolific
composers, Magnus-Opus will lead us into the tone of their world - maybe even

Guides: Debra Petrovitch, Danielle Karalus and Magnus-Opus,
Skating the dangerously thin ice of experimental media?
Saturday 15th June, 2pm
The 21st century has brought forth a set of digital tools that the media artist

Do these tools offer
the scope to reflect the magnitude of current affairs or are they just digitally
enhanced playgrounds? A
forum investigating the function, technique and value of experimental media
culture in Australian
contemporary society.
Players: dr Nigel Helyer, Mari Velonaki and Wade Marynowskj
